KQ double-double helps Goyang Sono pin first loss on Seoul

October 10 ------ KEVIN Quiambao finally got a win under his belt in the new Korean Basketball League (KBL) season. The Gilas Pilipinas forward helped Goyang Sono Skygunners to an 82-78 stunner over Seoul SK Knights at Goyang Sono Arena.

Quiambao contributed a double-double with his 18 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists as the home team chalked one in the winning column after a 0-2 start. Arvin Tolentino chipped in five points, four boards, and two steals for Seoul, which tasted its first defeat in three games. Rhenz Abando, meanwhile, was checked in Anyang Jung Kwan Jang's 75-69 defeat to Wonju DB Promy on the road.

He was held to four points, seven boards, and two assists in the loss as Anyang slipped to a 2-1 record, failing to follow up on its 83-66 rout of Daegu KOGAS Pegasus on Monday at home. Ethan Alvano fired 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the Wonju victory to go up to 2-1.
