Kim Atienza’s daughter Eliana graduates summa cum laude

May 20 ------ Kim Atienza could not help but show off the recent achievement of his daughter Eliana Atienza, who graduated summa cum laude with a degree in environmental studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

The TV host, his wife Felicia Hung, and their son Jose Atienza were in attendance at Eliana’s graduation ceremony in the United States, as seen on Kim’s Instagram page on Monday, May 18. “Can I make yabang? Our Eliana is now a University of Pennsylvania graduate with Summa cum laude honors! Kim exclaimed.

He added that his daughter also received an award for social justice and contribution to the community of Pennsylvania. “Eliana’s 4 years in UPenn were not without challenges. It was a trial for her and the family. Her passion, persistence, and resilience prevailed,” the celebrity father said. Addressing Eliana, he added, “We are mighty proud of you, and we love you so much, Eliana!” “SSD! Salamat sa Diyos!” he concluded. Eliana’s academic achievement wowed Kim’s fellow celebrities, including Dingdong Dantes, Ogie Alcasid, Korina Sanchez, Bianca Gonzalez, and Ruffa Gutierrez, who sent their congratulatory greetings via the comments section.

Eliana has been vocal about her stance on societal issues. It can be recalled in 2024 that she was suspended from campus after she joined a pro-Palestine encampment. Eliana is also part of W.E.B. Du Bois Movement School for Abolition & Reconstruction, which, as per its website, is a “political education program for aspiring revolutionaries and movement leaders from those communities most impacted by poverty, policing, and mass incarceration.”
