January 20 ------ Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo is poised for a major television comeback as she headlines “Someone, Someday” with James Reid and Maja Salvador this year. The new series marks her return to long-form storytelling after her last teleserye, “2 Good 2 Be True,” with Daniel Padilla, aired in 2022.
Since then, she has focused on high-profile film projects like “Hello, Love, Again” (2024) and “A Very Good Girl” (2023), while also expanding her presence beyond acting through entrepreneurial ventures. She now runs her own boutique hotel and maintains a strong portfolio of lifestyle brand partnerships.
Bernardo’s return to primetime comes at a time when audiences have eagerly awaited her next TV role, and her pairing with Reid — one of Philippine showbiz’s most talked-about talents — has sparked considerable buzz across entertainment circles. Following Bernardo’s much-anticipated comeback, ABS-CBN’s lineup continues with another notable pairing: Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi are set to star in the romantic drama “Love is Never Gone,” the first Filipino TV series shot against the scenic backdrop of Morocco.
The rest of the Kapamilya slate includes a heavyweight mix of action, drama, variety, and game shows that promise something for every viewer: Kapamilya action stars Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson team up for a new high-octane series; award-winning host and actress Charo Santos-Concio returns to helm the beloved drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK), delivering compelling Filipino stories of heart and resilience; and Luis Manzano brings back the fan-favorite game shows “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal” and “Minute To Win It” with all-new twists.
