Kapuso personalities win at 3rd Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards

March 31 ------ Four Kapuso stars and personalities were among those recognized at the 3rd Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Cavite. Sparkle star and ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Ashley Ortega was awarded Media Excellence in Television Acting for her role in GMA's Pulang Araw.

"Your inspiring dedication to your work, exceptional talent to connect with your audiences, and contribution to the Filipino media excellency proves you worthy of this recognition,” the award-giving body wrote on its social media post.

TiktoClock host Kuya Kim Atienza received an award for Media Excellence in Public Affairs Hosting alongside GMA broadcast journalist Kara David. Kapuso news reporter Pia Arcangel, meanwhile, took home the Media Excellence in TV News Presentation (Female) award.

In a report by Ivan Mayrina on 24 Oras Weekend, Pia gladly accepted the award and gave her short speech. “Magpapatuloy po kami para po sa mas malawak na serbisyo, mas malaking misyon, at mas malawak na paglilingkod po sa bayan,” Pia said. The Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards recognizes media icons that excel in their respective fields. The recipients of the awards were determined through voting by the students, faculty, administrators, and staff of LPU Cavite.
