Kapamilya programs win at 28th Golden Dove Awards

MANILA, June 28 ------ Kapamilya programs that continue to bring joy and inspiration to Filipinos were honored at the 28th KBP Golden Dove Awards. Knowledge Channel’s “MathDali Grade 1” and “Wow Bukidnon” bagged the Best Children’s program and Best Culture and Arts Program respectively.
“We are proud of the work we do and its impact on the children.That is the reason why we do this— especially the young children. We want to reach as many children and for them to learn better and to be prepared for life. We really look at the holistic development of children,” Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc.
(KCFI) President and Executive Director Rina Lopez said in an interview during the awards night in Pasay City, Thursday.
ABS-CBN’s “ASAP Natin to” was meanwhile named as the Best Variety Program while “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” won the Television category for Best Public Affairs Program (Metro Manila). “Yung impact sa tao na merong direct help sa kanila, yun ang motivation,” Migs Bustos who co-hosts “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” show with Karen Davila said. “Sobrang hardworking ng team. We dedicate this sa naging case studies, team, EP, SPs, editor, lahat, yung hindi na nakatulog sa kaka edit. patuloy tayo mag seserbisyo,” he added.
Radio programs were also recognized. “Win Today” bagged the Best Magazine Program while “Nagseserbisyo, Niña Corpuz” took home the Best Public Service Program award. “Isang malaking karangalan makatangap ng award. malaking responsibilidad bilang broadcaster. Ito ay higit sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon, number one ang pag bibigay ng public service.Ang totoong public service ay tulong iangat ang ating sarili,” Corpuz said. “Ang puso ay malasakit. Important doon yung genuine. kung pasok ba to sa ordinaryong buhay ng kapamilya natin, yung nakakatulong right away,” Bustos, who co-anchors the program, added.
