March 15 ------ JM de Guzman shared an update on his fitness journey after revealing that he lost weight through fasting and practicing the one-meal a day (OMAD) diet.

De Guzman took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 11, to share a screenshot of his profile progress from a body composition tracking app, revealing that he dropped 16 pounds in four months. “184 lbs – 167.9 lbs. Lost 16 lbs in 4 months. Target weight 160. Three-day fasts twice a month, then OMAD. Now it’s time to work out,” he wrote alongside photos of himself.

De Guzman also credited his girlfriend, Donnalyn Bartolome, for motivating him to stay disciplined with his diet. Bartolome responded in the comments section, saying she was more “pulling” him away from food than pushing him. “Anong push, more like pull. Pulling you away from food. It’s hard for me too. I want to see you eat, but only food that’s good for your body,” she wrote.

The social media influencer added that the goal is to help the actor develop better discipline and give his body time to recover. “You need control and give your body time for repair. I’m so proud of you because you’re more disciplined now. I’ll prepare more healthy treats and plan a once-a- month cheat day for you to eat whatever you like!!” she concluded her comment. Bartolome and de Guzman confirmed their relationship in June 2024 after years of being romantically involved.

De Guzman previously made headlines after he worried netizens and fellow celebrities with a video of himself crying that he posted on social media without explaining why. At the time, celebrities Vina Morales, Fifth Solomon and Jason Abalos expressed their concern and support for de Guzman.

Meanwhile, the OMAD diet is currently popular among celebrities these days. Zeinab Harake, Angel Aquino, Kylie Versoza, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Martin and Naomi Campbell are among the personalities who recently opened up about their one meal a day regimen.
