November 20 ------ Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo are set to send a 25-ton truck packed with donations to Cagayan. The province of Cagayan was heavily hit by Typhoon Ulysses causing massive flooding in the area.
According to Jennylyn, they already prepared 1,000 bags of relief goods but since the truck is massive, there is still room for more donations. "BESSIES, HELP US FILL THIS ULTIMATE STARTRUCK FOR CAGAYAN SURVIVORS! Calling for your help na punuin natin ng donation itong truck na ito para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Ulysses sa Cagayan! Bukod sa mismong truck, may hinahanda na kaming 1000 bags of relief goods. Bilang ang laki nito, there's room for more donations!" she posted on her Instagram page.
The actress shared that they accept in-kind and cash donations for the people of Cagayan. "Help us provide for the vulnerable and displaced families left in Tuguegarao through @litterbucks' cookies for a cause, or by sending your monetary or in-kind donations to Litterbucks bago umalis ang team namin papuntang Cagayan next Friday. Wala pong maliit na tulong! YOUR HELP WILL GO A LONG WAY," she said.
Dennis also took to Instagram to ask for donations to fill up the truck. "Marami pa ring Cagayanos ang nangangailangan ng ating tulong matapos manalasa sa kanila ang bagyong Ulysses. Hayaan niyong maging daan kami para madala ito sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng truck na ito," he said.
The actor remarked that by filling-up the truck with food and supplies, we can show our love to the typhoon victims. "Magkaisa tayo na ipadama na nag-uumapaw at punong punong pagmamahal natin sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng pag-donate at pagpuno ng truck na ito ng kinakailangang nilang pagkain o supplies," Dennis said. "Mas maagang maipaabot ang tulong ay mas maaga ring makakalarga ang truck na ito papunta sa kanila. Believe in the power of compassion and donate now via #UltimateStarTRUCK," he added.
