'It's Showtime' gears up for 15th anniversary

MANILA, October 3 ------ The entire "It’s Showtime" family is in full swing as they prepare for their much-awaited 15th-anniversary celebration, particularly for the intense showdown between competing teams in this year’s Magpasikat 2024 competition. 

On Tuesday, the ELJ Building was lit up in honor of the upcoming anniversary. Hosts and longtime "Showtime" family members couldn’t help but feel nostalgic. 

Actress-singer Karylle, one of the show’s mainstays, shared her emotions alongside co-host Ryan Bang as they reminisced about their beginnings on the show. "Grabe nung nakita namin ni Ryan 'yung 'kinseyyy' na pailaw. It brings us back kasi syempre nag-start tayo dito, hurado lang tayo noong 2010, and ngayon talagang part of the 'Showtime' family with all the Madlang People. Happy anniversary to us!" Karylle shared. 

The entire cast expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the audience for the unwavering support throughout the years. "Naalala natin bawat taon na dumaan, kasama niyo kami, Madlang People, through the hard times and the victorious, happy times like now. Maraming maraming salamat po, Madlang People, and of course, ABS-CBN," said Karylle and Bang. 

Even actress Bella Padilla, who has long been associated with the show, was overwhelmed with emotion. "Nakakakilabot kasi parang mafi-feel mo talaga 'yung pagmamahal sa 'Showtime' at how proud ABS-CBN is sa 'Showtime.' Siyempre, 15 years, ang dami na-create ng 'Showtime,'" she shared. 

The much-anticipated Magpasikat 2024 competition will kick off on October 21 and will run until October 26, when the teams will showcase their best performances to celebrate this incredible milestone.
