The IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, Inc. conducted another batch of IMO Model Course 6.09 from 16 to 27 April 2018 at JSU-AMOSUP Mariner’s Home 1765 Vasquez St. corner Nakpil St., Malate, Manila.
The course was attended by 18 participants from various Maritime Higher Education Institutions; and endorsed by the Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI).
The 10-day course aims to provide basic training for those who want to teach and to handle maritime courses. The program was design for seafarers and non-seafarer who would like to obtain the basic competencies of a teacher. This course include planning and preparation of effective teaching and instruction; the selection of appropriate methods of instruction and teaching materials; and the evaluation of the teaching and learning process.
The training was provided FREE of charge for instructors/faculty members of PAMI-member institutions. Participants were also provided with hand-outs/compendium, access to training-related printing and photocopying services, and meals for AM/PM session and lunch.
The course was facilitated by three (3) experienced instructors namely, Ms. Maria Teresa H. Inocencio, Ms. Ana Maria Jasmin M. Sampedro and Mr. Wenifredo G. Sola.
