Iconic OPM bands gear up for 'All Hits Just the Way You Want It' concert




MANILA, July 8 ------ Excitement is building as rehearsals kick-off for the highly anticipated “All Hits Just the Way You Want It” concert featuring Filipino music legends Rivermaya, Neocolours, and MYMP on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Theatre at Solaire. Members of Neocolours expressed their joy at the prospect of performing alongside their peers. Vocalist Ito Rapadas shared, “hindi lang kami yung makapagperform kami, pinapakinggan ko din yung mga kasama ko eh so I’m excited to listen to them perform on stage all the greatest bands in the Philippines.”  

  

Jimmy Antiporda, composer and lead keyboardist of Neocolours, teased about the production numbers, promising a performance that spans generations. “There will be a production number.  Abangan niyo yan kasi iba ibang generation kami. Actually masayang masaya yung production numbers namin. Unang una, OPM ang pinupush talaga namin and of course yung mga songs namin I hope na magustuhan nila,” he said.  

  

Meanwhile, Rivermaya’s Mark Escueta hinted at a fresh take on their classics. “Yung mga pinakapaboritong kanta ng rivermaya tutugtugin namin and ibang areglo from yung original,” he revealed.  MYMP’s Juliet Bahala assured fans of a nostalgic journey through their hits. “Expect na of course kakantahin namin, i-pe-play namin yung mga songs na nostalgic songs na kinalakihan nila and of course we will be playing our new song,” she promised. Rapadas also encouraged everyone to support artists across the music industry. “Hinihikayat din naman lahat na tangkilikin ano man ang field na kinabibilangan ng mga artists natin marami kung sila ay from the music industry pare pareho tayong nagtutulungan,” he said.
