MANILA, Philippines, August 28 ------ Ahead of their concert tonight at the Mall of Asia Arena, Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am acknowledged the important role Filipinos have played in the group’s history. At a press conference for the special LG Xboom by will.i.am collection, the award-winning music producer said, "Without Filipinos there won’t be Black Eyed Peas. We started by performing in Filipino Communities.”

Tonight, will.i.am joins original members Taboo Nawasha and proudly Filipino apl.de.ap in performing for fans, marking the group’s first concert in the country in six years. Filipino-American singer J. Rey Soul will also take the stage as they perform chart-topping hits including “Where Is the Love?” “I Gotta Feeling,” “Pump It” and “Boom Boom Pow,” among others.
