Glorious,' 'Ben x Jim' to stream on Netflix in July

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, June 27 ------ The romance-dramas beef up the Filipino content available on the streaming platform. More Filipino romance-dramas are set to stream on Netflix in July. Angel Aquino and Tony Labrusca starrer Glorious will be launching on the streaming site on July 17. The film first premiered on iWant in November 2018, much-hyped by a trailer that went viral on social media.

Directed by Connie Macatuno, it tells the story of a 52-year-old woman, Glory (Angel) who begins a passionate affair with a much younger man, Niko (Tony). As their romance plays out, the lovers navigate the complexities of being in a May-December romance, as Glory challenges what society expects from women. Also set to stream on Netflix are seasons 1 and 2 of BL series Ben x Jim, starring Teejay Marquez and Jerome Ponce.

Ben x Jim tells the story of childhood friends and neighbors who reconnect and fall in love while in quarantine. The show first premiered in October 2020 on YouTube and Regal Entertainment's streaming platform Upstream, while the second season launched in February on Upstream. It will be available on Netflix on July 5.
