Gary Valenciano returns to Music Museum for 10-show concert series

MANILA, Philippines, August 18 ------ Gary Valenciano is returning to one of the venues that has played a significant role in his decades-long concert career. The OPM icon will headline “Back At The Museum,” a 10-show concert series at the Music Museum in San Juan City every Thursday and Saturday throughout October. Ticket sales for the concert series are now open through TicketWorld.

The shows mark Gary’s return to the intimate venue following the successful 2023 run of “Back At The Museum,” which allowed audiences to experience his performances from a much closer distance. The Music Museum holds a special place in Gary’s career. Manila Genesis Entertainment and Management, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, has produced 104 Gary V concerts at the venue over the years.

Unlike Gary’s large-scale shows at venues, such as the Araneta Coliseum and the Mall of Asia Arena, the Music Museum offers a more intimate setting, allowing audiences to get closer to the singer’s performances. “Back At The Museum” is expected to highlight the spontaneous and interactive side of Gary’s concerts, with the singer known for making each performance different from the next.

The upcoming concert series comes after a busy period for the veteran performer. In 2024, Gary staged the six-show “Pure Energy: One Last Time” concert series, which he described as his final solo concerts on such a massive scale in terms of venue capacity and audience size. He subsequently continued performing overseas, bringing his music and message of faith, hope and inspiration to Filipino audiences in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Gary also released a new version of his hit song “Babalik Ka Rin,” arranged by Homer Flores, for digital remittance company Sendwave. He has likewise ventured into podcasting through “Unshaken With Gary V,” his collaboration with iHeartRadio, where he has welcomed guests including Toni Gonzaga, Michael V, Coco Martin, Julia Montes, Kim Atienza and Martin Nievera.

His contribution to Philippine music was also recently recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, which named him among the recipients of the SUDI National Music Awards. Directed by his son Paolo Valenciano and with musical direction by Mon Faustino, “Back At The Museum” is scheduled for October 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31.

The concert series is being staged for the benefit of the Shining Light Foundation. Tickets are priced at P10,000, P7,500, P5,000, P3,000 and P1,500 and are available through TicketWorld.
