Fuel price increases up to P5.01/liter set today

MANILA, Philippines, August 18 ------ Local fuel retailers will raise prices on petroleum products by up to P5.01 per liter starting today.

On Monday, the Department of Energy said gasoline prices would increase by P2.49 per liter, while diesel products would be costlier by P3.84 per liter. Kerosene will have the biggest jump in prices at P5.01 per liter.

In an advisory late last week, Jetti Petroleum stated that the price gains this week would occur as hopes for peace deals in the Middle East faded.
