Metro Manila, April 3 ----- Motorists can expect a slight increase in pump prices as the Holy Week kicks in, according to industry forecast.
In an advisory on Saturday, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said per-liter prices of diesel may increase by ₱0.30 to ₱0.50 for the period of April 4 to 10. Gasoline costs, on the other hand, may go up by ₱1.20 to ₱1.40 per liter.
The adjustment comes following consecutive rollbacks in the past weeks. As of March 28, the Department of Energy's oil price monitoring showed a year-to-date net decrease for local diesel prices (₱4.15/liter) and a net increase for gasoline (₱4.65/liter).
