MANILA, June 25 ------ Filipinos are now eligible for visa-on-arrival for travel to the United Arab Emirates if they meet certain conditions.
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced that starting June 25, 2026, Philippine passport holders can now avail of the visa-on-arrival in UAE if they hold a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card issued by any of the following countries: United States of America, European Union member states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Canada, and New Zealand.
The Filipino travelers who meet the requirements can get a 14-day visa and pay AED 100. This may be extended once for an additional 14 days for AED 250. They can also get a 60-day visa and pay AED 250 which is not extendable. DFA said this privilege was extended to Filipino citizens by UAE because of what it described as “the excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro said that she earlier had a productive meeting with UAE Ambassador H.E. Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi, Wednesday. She said they discussed strategic avenues to further deepen Philippines-UAE bilateral relations. Lazaro said there is “a strong focus on advancing economic diplomacy and expanding people-to-people exchanges.”
