Filipina5 claim first ever ASEAN Futsal win by beating Myanmar

February 25 ------ THE FILIPINA5 claimed their first-ever victory in the ASEAN Futsal Championship by nipping Myanmar, 1-0 at the Terminal 21 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Inday Tolentin scored the lone goal of the match in the 14th minute before holding on to the lead to get the Filipina5’s campaign in the second edition of the tournament on a high note. The Philippines only had a draw and four defeats in the first edition of the tournament held at the Philsports Arena in Pasig in 2024. That draw was against Myanmar, 2-2.

The Filipina5 are second in Group B behind Australia, which won its opening match against Vietnam, 2-0, to gain first place in the standings on goal difference. The Filipina5 face Vietnam on Wednesday and Myanmar on Thursday.
