Fil-Am selected to train with USA junior national volleyball team

May 17 ------ Filipino-American Joe Karlous was once again selected to join the USA volleyball junior national training team for the summer. Karlous is from Costa Mesa, California and plays setter for Pepperdine University. "It's been a blessing, every experience that I get with USA Volleyball, regardless if I make the final roster," said Karlous. The 6-foot setter played in the 2018 NORCECA Under-19 Continental Championships, and the 2019 FIVB Under-19 World Championships. He is fighting for a starting spot in the NORCECA Under-21 Pan American Cup, but plans of the tournament are subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Source: news.abs-cbn.com/sports
