Federico, German Moreno's son, keeps showbiz legacy alive with 'Supershow' app

September 27 ------ Federico Moreno, the son of the late impresario German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, announced that he and his partners launched The Supershow app to help discover new talents and continue the mission of his father. According to Moreno, the idea for The Supershow app came in 2018 when his friends asked for recommendations for a wedding singer. As someone who has been in the entertainment industry for quite sometime, he was surprised that he could not find anyone that fit the budget, date, and availability back then.

He then started doing research, asking people from different sectors such as parents looking for clowns for their children’s birthday parties to wedding planners looking for singers and hosts. Thus the idea for The Supershow app was born. Moreno also sought the help of his mentor Jose “Jomag” Magsaysay Jr, chairman emeritus of Potato Corner and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who was one of his father’s protégées to collaborate on the app.

“This app is one way of continuing my father’s legacy in helping the industry by helping talents get bookings and discovering new ones.” Moreno said. “At The Supershow app, we cannot wait to connect gifted individuals for the right job/event at the right time and make everyone happy,” Magsaysay said.

The app’s launch also came as the entertainment industry remembers Kuya Germs on his birthday on October 4. Moreno said that he and his partners were currently focused in helping talents that were displaced by the pandemic. The Supershow app is now putting together talents who could be part of the team.
