Eya Laure, Alyssa Solomon earn individual honors in SEA V Cup Leg 2

MANILA, August 11 ------ As Alas Pilipinas ascended to second-place in the SEA V Cup for the first time, notable names earned individual distinctions as well.

After anchoring the Philippines' scoring in the regional tournament, Eya Laure and Alyssa Solomon received the Best Outside Spiker and Best Opposite Spiker awards, respectively, during the awarding ceremony of the second leg in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Laure capped an impressive campaign with the award, helping the Philippines from both ends of the floor, while Solomon has earned the same citations back-to-back—as she also won the Best Opposite award in Leg 1—her fourth overall.

Leading the Dream Team was Thailand's Sasipaporn Janthawisut, who nabbed the Most Valuable Player and the other Best Outside Spiker award; Thailand's Thatdao Nuekjang and Vietnam's Trần Thị Bích Thủy were named Best Middle Blockers; as Indonesia's Indah Guretno and Thailand's Pornpun Guedpard closed out the list of awardees with the Best Libero and Best Setter honors.

Alas Pilipinas finished behind gold medalist Thailand to conclude the tourney, while Indonesia snagged the bronze medal, and Vietnam dropped to the fourth place for the first time since 2019. Next up for Alas Women is the Asian Games in Aichi–Nagoya this September.
