Eraserheads’ Electric Fun Music Festival postponed for second time to 2026

MANILA, September 18 ------ The highly anticipated Eraserheads Electric Fun Music Festival (EFMF) has been postponed again, organizers announced, citing a range of challenges that made proceeding with the event this year unfeasible.

The planned 10-hour-long music fest was originally scheduled on May 31 this year but had to be postponed to October 18, due to legal issues hounding lead guitarist Marcus Adoro. It was earlier announced Adoro was stepping back from EFMF. Now, the organizers led by WEU announced a second postponement, citing “evolving conditions that make it impossible to proceed as planned.” There is no specific date, but WEU said it would be held in the first quarter of 2026, “assuming no further unforeseen developments arise.”

“This decision was not made lightly. After extensive deliberation and close monitoring of the local landscape, we believe that moving the festival to a later date is the most responsible course for our community, artists, partners, and audience,” the EFMF team said in a statement emailed to media on Tuesday, September 16. “The postponement follows a convergence of political instability, economic uncertainty, and climate-related concerns that have directly affected operational capacity and planning. Despite these challenges, EFMF reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a transformative music experience. Organizers are now targeting the first quarter of 2026 for the festival’s relaunch,” it added.

WEU assures all ticket holders will receive full refunds, with detailed instructions to be released shortly through EFMF’s official channels. “Our team is working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that when EFMF returns, it will be stronger, more inclusive, and more impactful than ever. We remain committed to transparency, collaboration, and artistic excellence,” they added.
