MANILA, Philippines, August 25 ------ Dwight Ramos is back in Japan after playing for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Philippine team mainstay was welcomed by his squad upon his arrival back in Japan ahead of his third season with Levanga Hokkaido. “Welcome back, our hero @dram0s,” wrote the team in an Instagram post. “I did so many things… The first month there (in the Philippines) was kind of a vacation but from there, I had a lot of things going on,” said Ramos. “It was a fun offseason. I’m really glad to be back and really excited for this season. I can’t wait to see you guys.”

Aside from representing Gilas in the continental meet, Ramos also did some boyfriend duties back on home soil. Following the Asia Cup, Ramos made a quick stop in the PVL On Tour Finals to support his longtime girlfriend and PLDT star Kianna Dy, who helped the High-Speed Hitters claim the preseason crown.

Ramos then had a few days to rest before flying back to Hokkaido. A few months back, the dynamic shooter signed a contract extension with Levanga after a stellar previous season. Ramos averaged 16.8 points—the 12th best in the tournament—alongside six rebounds and 2.8 assists across five games in the Fiba Asia Cup, where the Philippines lost to eventual champion Australia in the quarterfinals.
