MANILA, Philippines, September 8 ------ Filipina actress Lovi Poe caught a major break after being offered a role in the 2025 Hollywood action comedy movie “Bad Man,” opposite lead star Seann William Scott.
In the film, which premiered at the Sidewalk Film Festival last August 24 and was released last September 5, Lovi plays Izzy, the lead female character, who brings both emotional depth and intrigue to the storyline while sharing a romance with Deputy Sam Evans, Johnny Simmons' character.
Lovi beamed with pride for getting a share of the Hollywood spotlight. “It’s honestly a dream come true to be working alongside such an amazing cast. 'Bad Man' was such a fun movie to be part of — so full of energy, heart, and humor. Mike Diliberti and JJ Nelson did such a beautiful job writing it, and with Mike directing as well, they created something so witty and entertaining,” she said.
“Bad Man” is directed by Michael Diliberti and features an ensemble cast, including Chance Perdomo and Rob Riggle. Released in the United States on video-on-demand and select theaters, the film is set to be shown in Philippine cinemas soon “I’m just so happy and grateful to be part of it, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch,” Lovi added.
Meanwhile, the blessings continue to pour in for the veteran actress, who is expecting her firstborn with British husband Monty Blencowe.
