Donita Rose shares why husband Felson Palad is an answered prayer

September 13 ------ Donita Rose opened up about why she prayed for a virgin husband after being heartbroken by the end of her first marriage. Donita, stunned, told Felson that it was actually what she prayed for. "Sabi niya, 'Na-turn off ka ba?' Sabi ko, 'I'm speechless right now.' Sabi niya, 'Bakit, na-turn off ka?' Sabi ko, 'Hindi. Pinag-pray ko 'to." When Felson asked her why it mattered, Donita explained that it was about faith and values.

"I had a prayer list for my first marriage, right? But it wasn't very specific. It was kinda similar but after my heartache and pain, I was very specific this second time around [about what I'm looking for in a man]," she explained in an interview with Bernadette Sembrano in her latest YouTube vlog.

When asked why she prayed for a virgin husband, Donita explained that she saw it as a divine sign. "[I wanted a virgin husband] para clean slate. It wasn't so much that he had to be a virgin. It was more like, 'Lord para alam ko na galing sa Inyo ito, give me something impossible, give me an impossible sign,'" she said. Eventually, Donita met her now-husband, Felson Palad, without knowing at first that he was a virgin. "Well, just to give a disclaimer, I'm still a man, and I'm a guy, I was a virgin, but hindi naman ako innocent. I had my fair share of those kulit moments when you're younger," Felson explained in the same interview. "So, I was a youth and worship pastor before in the States, and I would preach and tell the young people to preserve their body, preserve their mind, and 'yung purity."

Felson recalled the moment he decided to tell Donita about it during their early days of dating. "We were talking over the phone from six ng gabi hanggang four ng umaga for [three] weeks, parang kaming teenager... Pero ito 'yung nakakatawang conversation. Nag-pray muna ako, 'Lord sasabihin ko kaya sa kanya 'to?' I don't know but I will let it be there and I let her decide. Tapos sabi ko, 'D, meron akong sasabihin sa'yo,' sabi niya, 'Ano 'yun?' [I told her], 'I'm still a virgin.' Tapos tahimik... Tapos sabi ko. 'Hello. nandiyan ka pa? Ano break na tayo? I would understand,'" he recounted. Donita, stunned, told Felson that it was actually what she prayed for. "Sabi niya, 'Na-turn off ka ba?' Sabi ko, 'I'm speechless right now.' Sabi niya, 'Bakit, na-turn off ka?' Sabi ko, 'Hindi. Pinag-pray ko 'to."

When Felson asked her why it mattered, Donita explained that it was about faith and values. "Sabi niya, 'Bakit virgin ang hiningi mo?' Sabi ko, I just wanted it to be a sign from God that this is the direction. If the guy says he is a virgin, then it shows me that he has integrity, that he has morals, that you know, he has been thinking about his future wife for a long time. Something like that," Dontia recalled. The actress further explained: "For him to preserve his virginity for this long, it means that there is a fear of the Lord in his life and that's what I wanted in a man above all things, somebody with the fear and love of Christ."

Donita and Felson married in September 2022 in an intimate wedding ceremony held in San Clemente, California. Following the wedding, Donita posted on her Instagram page: "Surely your goodness and unfailing love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
