June 9 ------ This marks the start of a ton of beautiful memories! Three years after leading the history-making Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Rewind”, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are set to star in a new film together entitled “Remember”. The royal box office couple broke the news before departing to shoot in Quebec.
Not only will “Remember” see Dingdong and Marian reunite with their “Rewind” director Mae Cruz Alviar, but the film also sets the stage for an exciting team-up between Star Cinema, APT Entertainment, AgostoDos Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.
As they unveiled the big announcement, Dingdong and Marian couldn’t hide their excitement about embarking on their next cinematic journey together — while of course, exchanging that sweet DongYan banter we all know and love! “After three years, na-miss namin katrabaho ang isa’t isa,” Dingdong said. To which a giddy Marian replied, “Parang mas miss n’ya ‘ko!”
Given their back-to-back projects and business ventures, Dingdong then teased his wife about their schedules aligning through their new film: “Sabi ko, ‘Kailangan siguro mag-movie na lang tayo para ma-solo naman kita.” But above all, what drew Dingdong and Marian to headlining their next movie together is the story they will impart to audiences in “Remember”. “Mas nae-excite ako d’on sa kwentong ibibigay namin sa kanila,” Marian gushed. “No’ng una naming mabasa talaga ‘yung script, sabi ko, ‘Wow, grabe.’” “Remember” was indeed well worth the wait for Marian, who called it the “perfect” next chapter after she and her husband touched countless hearts with “Rewind”.
Later that day, Star Cinema released the stunning key art for “Remember”, depicting the couple in a warm embrace and a look of love in their eyes — a touching glimpse at what the new film has in store for fans and moviegoers alike!
