Dimsum maker wins P650,000 jackpot in Laro Laro Pick on 'Showtime'

MANILA, February 12 ------ Tayson, a dimsum maker from Malate, won the P650,000 jackpot prize from the "Laro Laro Pick" segment of ABS-CBN's noontime program "It’s Showtime."

Tayson took the contest's "Pot" question and won after he gave the correct answer to the question 'How many men have served as president of the Philippines from the time of Emilio Aguinaldo up to the present?'. "Salamat, Lord," Tayson said after winning the contest. "Marami po kasi akong pangarap na matupad sana, 'yun po ang hiling. Ngayon natupad, sana matupad ang plano ko sa buhay," Tayson said.

Asked by "It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda how he knew the correct answer, Tyson replied: "Nagre-research po kasi lagi ako. Gusto ko po talaga manalo rito." Vice then stressed the importance of studying. "Malaking bagay ang pagsasaliksik. Ang mga karagdagang kaalaman natin mula sa pagsasaliksik ay maaring magbigay sa atin ng magandang pagkakataon, katulad ngayon. Hindi siya nagse-settle sa alam niya lang. Nagre-research siya at 'yung pagre-research niya at 'yung karagdagang kaalaman niya ang nagbitbit sa kanya rito at magpapauwi sa kanya ng P650,000," Ganda said.
