Diesel, kerosene prices rise P6.10/liter, gasoline up P1.40/liter

Metro Manila, August 30 ------ Motorists will face a hefty increase in fuel prices this week, oil firms announced.

Effective today, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Petron, Phoenix, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, and Unioil will be hiking per-liter prices of diesel by P6.10 and gasoline by P1.40. Caltex, Flying V, Petron, and Seaoil will also raise kerosene rates by P6.10 per liter.

According to the Department of Energy’s oil monitor, companies have increased per-liter prices of gasoline by P18.15, diesel by P31.70, and kerosene by P27.10 since the start of 2022. The DOE earlier said fuel prices could go up this week due to high oil demand in some countries for harvest activities and heating needs.
