Diego Loyzaga admits working hard these days for daughter Hailey

April 28 ------ Actor Diego Loyzaga is working hard these days to provide for his one-year-old daughter, Hailey, who will turn one this May.

“In the first week of May, I’m doing five back-to-back rakets just to afford her birthday party. Not that I can’t afford it but, you know, money out is still money out," said Diego during the media conference for the upcoming movie "Isang Gabi" with Colee Garcia, held at the Viva Cafe in Araneta City on April 24.

Diego added: "Pandagdag lang because hindi ko akalain na ang first birthday niya ay gagastos din pala ako na parang higit sa isang debut na pala! “I am doing everything in my power to be able to… I’ve said so much, e. I really promised so much. I want to be able to provide. "And even though sinasabi ko na hindi naman niya maalaala yung first birthday niya, ang laging sinasabi ng nanay ng baby ko ay ‘Pero tayo, maaalaala natin ito. Wala akong takas!” he said.

Diego, the son of actors Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga, also revealed he has ventured into business. "I am starting to think about branching out already for… I’m 29 next month. So, nagsimula na akong magnegosyo, which I never thought I would enter before and it doesn’t end. It keeps on going," the actor said. “Ang dami ko nang ibang mga ginagawa na sideline na trabaho. The hunk actor recalled asking film director Mac Alejandre about going to different places almost every day for showbiz commitments. “I was asking Direk Mac backstage, 'Guys, I fly in on this day from Japan and the next day, dapat mag-Cebu, the next day Bohol, and after that Mindanao. Gawin ko ba?" Diego asked. The director responded: "Go if the remuneration is worth the aggravation. You can do it, you’re young." Diego found himself traveling for 24 hours across Metro Manila and several provinces. "From Pangasinan, I drove seven hours back to Caloocan, and that was all in… a little more than 24 hours. Twenty-one hours on the road pa lang, just to do three back-to-back rakets. I’m very motivated," he said.

Asked who he wants to spend a night with, Diego said: “Yung baby ko po, gusto ko siyang kasama, kahit bawal magsama ng baby sa sinehan. I just wanna spend time with her. I actually thought about this na makasama ko siya sa isang movie house, like a cinema." He added, “Have you ever been in a cinema near you and heard a baby crying, and you complained na why is there a baby inside? I don’t want to be that kind of guy. Hindi ko pa nagagawa so, of course, I wanted to experience it. I want to be there the first time she experiences the big screen."
