DFA advises delay in passport release




July 18 ------ The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has advised the public that the release of passports will be delayed. This is due to the maintenance work that is being conducted by its service provider, APO Production Unit, Inc. (APO), it said. “The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that recent passport applications made last week have been affected by a system downtime,” it said. "As a result, a few days of delay in the delivery and release of passports is expected ," it added. 

  

DFA said that applicants may coordinate with their respective consular office or foreign service post for more information. For other inquiries and urgent matters, they may contact DFA through telephone number +632 8234 3488 or e -mail through the link provided below: DFA Aseana: passportconcerns@dfa.gov.phoca.concerns@dfa.gov.ph.  

  

DFA assured the public that it is closely coordinating with APO to ensure the resumption of normal services as soon as possible. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation and understanding ," it said.
