MANILA, Philippines, April 15 ------ The government has extended by one month the deadline for filing 2025 annual income tax returns, providing relief to taxpayers as the country reels from the fallout from the Middle East conflict.
In a Facebook post, Marcos said moving the deadline from April 15 to May 15 would give taxpayers more time to file their tax returns and other necessary documents properly and without penalties. “We did this to make the payment of taxes easier for every Filipino, especially at a time when the higher oil prices are being felt. We are continuously working to ease the everyday burden of our countrymen,” the President said.?
Taxpayers can file their returns and pay their tax dues through the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s electronic platforms or authorized agent banks.
