February 1 ------ Cup of Joe, TJ Monterde, Ben&Ben, and HORI7ON will be raising the Philippine flag as the chosen performers at the 2026 ASEAN-Korea ROUND Festival in April.

The local acts were revealed as the Filipino representatives to the upcoming music festival at a recent press conference. The festival is also shaped to be a gathering of artists from South Korea and ASEAN member countries, where they’re set to perform on April 18 and 19 at the Araneta Coliseum. This marks Cup of Joe, TJ Monterde, and HORI7ON’s first time performing at the festival. Ben&Ben graced the music festival in 2020.

According to KBS World TV chief producer Kuk Chun-hwang, the festival was supposed to be launched in the Philippines in 2020. However, it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is why Kuk is excited to finally bring it to the country. “I’m looking forward to holding it here after six years. I’m very confident in the Pinoys. The music scene here is very strong and very great,” he said in an ambush interview with reporters. Kuk also hinted that they’re also reaching out to possible acts to add to the lineup, although he kept his lips sealed on who they are.

Joining the local acts are 10cm (South Korea), MeloMance (South Korea), Syafiq Abdilah (Brunei), G-Devith (Cambodia), Pamungkas (Indonesia), JoJo Miracle (Lao PDR), Mimifly (Malaysia), Velocity (Myanmar), Regina Song (Singapore), Tilly Birds (Thailand), and Chillies (Vietnam).
