Chelsea Fernandez finally coming home after impressive Miss Cosmo 2025 stint

January 26 ------ More than a month since Chelsea Fernandez blew pageant fans away with her impressive performance on the 2025 Miss Cosmo stage, the pride of the Philippines is finally coming home.

The pageant veteran snagged the lone runner-up spot at the conclusion of the international pageant’s second edition held in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 20. Yolina Linduist from the United States edged her out of the crown.

“A Proud Homecoming for the Philippines [Philippine flag emoji]. Miss Cosmo Organization is honored to officially announce the Homecoming of [Fernandez],” the pageant posted on social media on Saturday evening, Jan. 24.

The Filipino queen is scheduled to fly from the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of Jan. 26, and her Vietnamese fans are invited to send her off at the terminal at 6 a.m. Fernandez’s flight home to Manila will land at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City on the same day at 1:30 p.m., with an expected welcome from fans and members of the media at Terminal 1. “Her homecoming journey will unfold across Manila and her beloved Sultan Kudarat, bringing her closer to the people who have supported and believed in her every step of the way,” the Miss Cosmo pageant said.

“From courtesy calls with local leaders to grand homecoming parades, charity and hospital visits for children, provincial tours, and media engagements–each moment is a heartfelt celebration of her journey, her roots, and her dedication to giving back to the community,” continued the post.

The Miss Cosmo announcement showed that Fernandez’s homecoming is scheduled from Jan. 26 to Feb.1, but it is still not yet clear if she will return to Vietnam after the said period.

As the lone runner-up, Fernandez enjoys luxury living in an upscale residential condominium building in Ho Chi Minh City for the duration of her reign, with a dedicated chauffeur service, plus modeling and other official appearances in Vietnam. The Province of Sultan Kudarat has been preparing a grand welcome for their beloved daughter since her phenomenal showing on the Miss Cosmo stage last month.
