Celeste Cortesi takes ‘job seriously’ through acting workshops

November 10 ------ Celeste Cortesi reaffirmed her dedication to grow as an actress, as she showed glimpses of her acting workshops on social media. On her X (formerly Twitter) account, Cortesi stated that she’s taking “any job given to her seriously” while uploading a video of herself tearfully reciting the lines of Jo March from the 2019 film “Little Women.” “Started my Craft Work session today with Ms. Ana Feleo. I heard you guys. Haha. I take any job given to me seriously, and I am really enjoying the learning process,” she said in her post.

Cortesi, who signed a contract with GMA’s Sparkle earlier this year, assured her fans in a separate post that the “trust given to her” won’t be put to waste. “It’s not everyday that we’re given such an amazing opportunity. Kaya naman (that’s why) I want to make sure that trust given to us will not go to waste,” she wrote. The former beauty queen also shared glimpses of her “Tagalog acting workshops,” where she was praised by her acting coach for a “fabulous job.” “Feedback from my Filipino class teacher. Sabi nga (they said), you’re only as good as your last performance.’ Super motivated to work harder! Laban (fight)!” she said.

Cortesi confirmed that she’s officially a Kapuso last July after signing a contract with the Kapuso talent management arm. She made her acting debut in February 2023 in the finale of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna,” starring as the Queen of Marte. Prior to her acting career, she represented the Philippines at the Miss Earth 2018 pageant, finishing in the top 8, and at Miss Universe 2022 but not making it to the semifinals.
