Celebrities ‘happy, hopeful’ as Bam Aquino, Kiko Pangilinan land Senate Magic 12

May 14 ------ Celebrities took to social media to express their joy and optimism after Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan made it into the Senate “Magic 12” in the partial and unofficial tally for the 2025 senatorial elections. 

  

Actress Bea Binene called Aquino’s unofficial win as a “spark of hope” as she thanked the politician for his efforts. “Thank you, Senator Bam, because there are still people like you who are honest, have integrity, and are ready to serve the country,” she said. “May we never lose hope and the courage to hope. Pray for the Philippines and for Filipinos.” 

  

Binene also thanked those who voted for the greater good of the country. “Thank you, Philippines, for proving that when we help each other, come together, and believe, we can achieve more, for reminding us that there is still hope and that we can still hope. The youth are truly the hope of the nation. It has come a long way, but it is still a long way,” stated the actress.   

  

Jake Ejercito, on the other hand, took the witty way as he declared in a post on X after the partial and unofficial results came in, “from liquor ban to KIKO-BAMMM.” In a separate post, Ejercito reflected on the 2022 elections when Pangilinan ran for vice president to Leni Robredo, referencing that now the hope continues three years later. “5-10-22. One night after the election, tears on some cheeks, beer in glasses. Music and quiet togetherness became our escape from the sadness. Weakened. tired. But the promise remained alive: We will not give up. Three long years have passed—and once again, there is a budding hope,” he wrote in Tagalog.
