CAVITEX to raise toll rates again today

MANILA, October 28 ------ The toll rates for motorists passing through the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) R1 Expressway Extension, covering the Zapote, Las Piñas to Kawit, Cavite segment, will increase again, as the second tranche of the toll adjustment will be implemented today, October 28.

The new toll fees for CAVITEX R1 Expressway Extension covering Zapote to Kawit, effective October 28, are:

- Class 1 - P103

- Class 2 - P207

- Class 3 - P310

CAVITEX said this comes following the approved 2020 and 2023 toll petitions, implemented in two tranches to cushion the impact on motorists. The first tranche was implemented October last year. In light of the upcoming adjustment, the ABANTE Program will also be reactivated within 60 days from the new toll rates’ effectivity, providing accredited traditional and modern jeepneys, UV Express units, and buses with authorized routes using the CAVITEX R-1 Expressway Extension (Kawit) with toll reprieve.

The toll rebate for vehicles transporting agricultural products will also remain in effect until November 30, to support the movement of agricultural goods. Meanwhile, CAVITEX said motorists will experience “faster travel time” in the Southern Luzon corridor to Metro Manila as CAVITEX will soon connect to CALAX via the CAVITEX-CALAX Link (CCLink).
