Carlos Yulo back in action 10 months after Paris conquest

June 5 ------ CARLOS Yulo will be back to competitive action after his conquest in the Paris Olympic Games. Yulo will be competing in the 12th Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Jecheon, South Korea from June 5 to 8. It will be his first competition since winning two gold medals in the Paris Olympics last August or after 10 months.


Yulo is joined in the Philippine squad by Jhon Romeo Santillan, Justine Ace De Leon, Juancho Miguel Besana, and John Ivan Cruz. In the last edition of the Asian championship, Yulo bagged four gold medals in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where he topped the all-around, floor exercise, vault, and parallel bars.


Meanwhile, Carlos Yulo’s younger brother Eldrew will also take part in the 18th Junior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships that will coincide with the seniors competition. Eldrew is joined by Evan Thomas Aliwalas as they carry the Philippine flag in the juniors tournament.
