MANILA, Philippines, November 30 ------ Philippine cue artist Carlo Biado was formally inducted into the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida.

Biado, who was fresh off an appearance at the International Open in the same city, received 91 percent of the votes in his second year of eligibility into the hall. His induction followed his win at the 2025 World Pool Championship back in August. During his speech, Biado said he was thankful to his friends and those who supported him, as well as his clubs. “I never imagined I would make it to where I am right now… Because honestly, my dream was to become an architect, because I loved to draw, but God has a better plan for us. He made me into a world champ,” he said. “And to everyone out there with a dream, remember: Nothing is impossible. It’s hard, but those challenges will make you stronger,” Biado added.

The 42-year-old Biado is only the sixth Filipino to make it to the BCA Hall of Fame, following Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco “Django” Bustamante, Jose Parica, Dennis Orcollo, and Alex Pagulayan, who now represents Canada internationally.
