MANILA, September 29 ------ With his role as Manuel Hidalgo, Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino hopes that his upcoming film "Crosspoint" shows Filipinos' dedication to earn a living for their family.
In the film, Aquino will be teaming up with Shogun actor Takehiro Hira as they aim to catch a serial killer in Japan for a bounty. "I play the role of Manuel Hidalgo, a washed up actor na magkakaroon sila ng baby soon ng wife niya and dahil medyo matumal na ang kanyang mga proyekto, kinakailangan niyang pumunta ng Japan para mag-omise at mag-'side hustle' doon," Aquino said. "He stumbled upon isang news na parang may isang serial killer tas nakilala niya ('yung character ni) Takehiro, pareho silang financially unstable, eh may pabuya, so hinuli nila 'yun," he added.
Known for his roles family drama genre, Aquino is excited to blend it with action as a fan of the "Bourne" series.
For Aquino, viewers would relate on how their characters are willing to risk anything for their loved ones.
