Carla Abellana weds Dr. Reginald Santos

The Kapuso actress exchanged vows with her doctor-fiancé choosing a private and intimate ceremony that reflected how she has kept her relationship away from the public eye. The wedding, officiated by Alfonso, Cavite mayor Randy Salamat, was attended by their families and closest friends, with moments from the special day later shared online by their loved ones.

In the photos uploaded online, Carla looked radiant in a white bridal gown paired with a traditional veil, while Dr. Reginald wore a white tuxedo. Photos shared by attendees showed the couple glowing with happiness during what appeared to be a garden wedding. Though the exact location of the ceremony was not disclosed, the setting and details suggested a simple yet elegant celebration.

Several beautiful moments from the wedding surfaced on social media. In one photo shared by Carla’s mother, the newlyweds were seen smiling widely as they posed together for the camera. Another image captured the couple sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, a quiet but meaningful highlight of the ceremony. Days before the wedding, Carla gave fans a glimpse of how she prepared for her big day. Earlier this week, she shared photos from her bridal shower held at a beauty clinic in Parañaque. Despite her busy schedule promoting her 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, the actress made time to relax and celebrate with her mother and close friends. “Heavenly! Ahhh-mazing experience with Mom and my girls. Definitely one for the books. Thank you for spoiling us. 🥹” Carla wrote in her post, describing the pampering session ahead of the wedding.

Although she has remained private about her relationship and her now-husband’s identity, Carla earlier said that she wanted to share her happiness with the public when the time was right. In a previous interview with 24 Oras, she spoke about the joy she was feeling as she prepared for her special day. “We’ll share everything definitely… kasi ang hirap nang overwhelmed ka, overjoyed ka, tapos ‘di mo malabas ‘di ba?” she said. It was on December 1 when Carla posted a photo of her hand wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring. The post quickly drew congratulatory messages from friends in the entertainment industry. The following day, the news was confirmed by Boy Abunda, who revealed that Carla personally verified the engagement. "Minessage namin si Carla kung engaged na nga siya. Kinumpirma ni Carla [na totoo]. We asked permission if we can confirm this in the program that she is indeed engaged. And she said, sure. Napakagandang balita po. We are happy for Carla Abellana," Boy said.

Earlier this year, Carla also shared during the GMA Gala that she had decided to open herself up to dating again and meeting new people. “I’ve said it naman na before na parang it’s about time I open myself to dating [and] meeting new people, so I decided to try it,” she said. “Yes, there’s a second date so we’ll see if there’s gonna be more dates di ba? For now, yeah,” she added.

Carla was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez in 2021, but their marriage ended after only a few months. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022 with Tom being an American citizen which was later recognized by the Philippine court.
