Carla Abellana to sue brand over fake ads using her photos

April 22 ------ Carla Abellana will be taking legal action against a brand which ignored her request to take down its false advertisements using her photos.

Abellana warned fans against what appears to be a slimming product which used her name and photos for its advertisements, as seen on her Instagram Stories yesterday, April 20. “Hello, everyone! Please be advised that I do not, never did and never will use this brand and these products with [advertisements] circulating all over social media, particularly on [Facebook],” she said.

Abellana showed a screenshot of the said advertisement where she can be seen holding a product, making it appear that it was used by the actress to lose weight. “This is false advertisement and the page owner has ignored my personal request to remove the [advertisement]. I can now proceed to take legal action against them,” she stated.
