'Call Me Mother,' 'It's Okay To Not Be Okay' among PH nominees in ContentAsia Awards 2026

July 16 ------ ABS-CBN productions "Call Me Mother" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" are among the Filipino titles nominated at the ContentAsia Awards 2026.

"Call Me Mother," co-produced by ABS-CBN along with The IdeaFirst Company and Viva Films, is among the five nominees under the Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia category. Released in December 2025, the film stars Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre and tells the story of a queer single mother who plans to legally adopt her foster son, only for complications to arise when his biological mother enters the picture.

Meanwhile, "It's Okay To Not Be Okay" is nominated for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia. The series, a remake of the South Korean drama of the same title, tells the love story of an antisocial children's book author and a psychiatric ward caregiver. It stars Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino.

Other Filipino nominees include People's Television Network's (PTV) "PTV Sports" for Best Sports Magazine Program Made in Asia, as well as GMA Network's "Corruption Series: A Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Special Report" and PTV's "Iskoolmates" for Best Current Affairs Program Made in Asia for a Single Market in Asia. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand on August 27.

The ContentAsia Awards are organized by ContentAsia, described as a "20-year-old information platform curated to offer insights into Asia’s content environment." The awards are judged by industry peers with hands-on knowledge and experience of the creative and production process, according to its website.
