‘Bubble Gang’ stages star-studded concert for 30th anniversary

October 13 ------ Comedy and nostalgia collide in “BG30: Batang Bubble Ako,” a two-part anniversary concert celebrating three decades of GMA’s longest-running gag show, “Bubble Gang.”

Set to air on October 19 and 26 at 6:10 p.m., the special unites original and current cast members for an all-out showcase of iconic sketches, character revivals, and surprise showdowns—none bigger than Mr. Assimo (Michael V.) going head-to-head with Vice Ganda in the side-splitting “Battle of Maasims.”

Fan favorites also return: Ogie Alcasid reprises his role as Boy Pick-up, joined by Sam Pinto’s Neneng B and Analyn Barro’s Ana B. Diana Zubiri reclaims her Super B powers, while the classic “Dating Doon” segment sees the OG trio Brod Pete, Brod Jocel, and Brod Willy in full form.

Fresh twists on beloved segments are also in store. Expect a viral showdown between Antonietta (Betong Sumaya) and Ai-Ai delas Alas, with Jillian Ward appearing as Amponietta. The “Mr. and Mrs.” skit adds Rhian Ramos to the comedic chaos, while Emil Sumangil and Paolo Contis team up for “Agresibo.” More characters make a comeback, including Ina Moran, Ella (Sef Cadayona), Olivia (Kokoy de Santos), and Tata Lino in a first-ever “ask me anything” live segment. New cast members will be introduced via the iconic “Istambay” sketch. Also joining the laughs are Ara Mina, Maureen Larrazabal, Alma Concepcion, Arra San Agustin, Kelvin Miranda, and more.

BG30 promises to be a reunion for the ages, honoring the show’s legacy while welcoming a new generation of Batang Bubble. Catch both episodes on GMA Network and globally on GMA Pinoy TV.
