October 23 ------ Kris Aquino is set to return to television as a guest on Boy Abunda’s “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” with their two-part interview forming part of the talk show host’s week-long birthday celebration. Abunda confirmed Aquino’s appearance in a recent interview, addressing speculation sparked by a promotional art card that circulated on social media recently, teasing the return of a “King and Queen.” “Yes, she will be appearing in the show,” Abunda said.

The veteran host shared that their conversation, which lasted for more than two hours, covered a range of topics, including Aquino’s current health issues, politics, relationships, and finances. Her appearance will mark her return to television after years away from the spotlight, during which she has been in and out of hospitals as she continues to deal with multiple health conditions. The interview also had a family touch, with Aquino’s youngest son, Bimby, joining them. “And Bimbs also joined us, so masaya. Very interesting,” Abunda said.

Aquino’s decision to return to television alongside Abunda also carries personal significance, given their long-standing association as the Queen of All Media and the King of Talk. Abunda recalled Aquino telling him that she would only return to television with him. “I would only go back to television with the King,” he said, quoting Aquino.

Bimby also shared a glimpse of his commitment to his family during the conversation, telling Abunda that his future plans include looking after his older brother, Josh Aquino, who is on the autism spectrum. “I will only marry a girl who can accept Kuya because I know that one day when Mama is gone, I will take care of him.” Abunda said he was proud of Bimby’s maturity and concern for his brother.

Meanwhile, Bimby gave Abunda something to tease viewers about, particularly his response when asked about the possibility of entering politics. “Watch out for what Bimbs said when I asked him about the idea of entering politics,” Abunda said.

The two-part interview is among the segments lined up for Abunda’s birthday celebration, which culminates on October 29. The host said, however, that he is not one to make a big production out of his birthday. He usually spends the occasion going to church, recalling how his family kept celebrations simple when he was younger. “Kasi noon, when I was younger, we celebrate pero very simple lang, usually may pancit,” he recalled.

Aquino is not the only personality joining the birthday celebration. Abunda also mentioned Ruffa Gutierrez, whom he described as a very dear friend, and Andrea Brillantes, joking that he had been interviewing the actress since she was only a few months old.
