September 3 ------ True to the Binibining Pilipinas pageant’s thrust of fostering charity to the needy, three of their queens visited a Rizal community to bring joy and inspiration to the residents.

The pageant, organized by the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. brought Myrna Esguerra from the 2024 batch, and Annabelle McDonnell and Dalia Khattab from the recent edition to the Gawad Kalinga-Julio Iglesias Araneta City Tanay (GK-JIACT) Village on Aug. 29 for “Sparkling Hope.”

The charity event saw the ladies distributing “Sparkle Bags” containing school supplies to the children in the community located in Barangay Tandang Kutyo’s Sitio Gabihan, in Tanay, Rizal. The ladies also spent time with the children for a day of fun and games, and even handed out copies of “Karapat-Dapat,” a book on children’s rights.

Esguerra was crowned Bb. Pilipinas International in last year’s competition, the 60th anniversary celebration of the longest-running national pageant in the Philippines. She is set to represent the Philippines in the 63rd Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan, in November, and try to post the country’s seventh victory in the global tilt. McDonnell was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Globe in the most recent staging of the national pageant in July, and is set to fly to Albania for the 2025 edition of The Miss Globe pageant in October.

Khattab was first runner-up in the 2025 pageant. She is a television and movie actress for ABS-CBN, who has appeared in “He’s Into Her” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. “They shared smiles, stories, and the spirit of giving–truly sparkling hope for the future,” Bb. Pilipinas said in a social media post on Monday, Sept. 1, sharing photos from the outreach activity.
