Binibining Pilipinas 2025 candidates display ‘pasarela’ in swimsuit, gowns

May 23 ------ The 2025 Binibining Pilipinas pageant heats up as the candidates showcased their “pasarela” (pageant walk) at the much-awaited press presention show, where they paraded in regulation swimsuits, and gowns of their choice. 

Thirty-six ladies from across the country were presented to the members of the media at the Monet Ballroom of Novotel Manila Araneta City in Quezon City on Thursday afternoon, May 22. They also went under the scrutiny of judges, whose scores will help determine the lucky ladies advancing to the semifinals in next month’s final competition. 

Among the judges who shared their expertise for the presentation show was celebrity entrepreneur Dani Barretto, founder and CEO of Wellness Whispers. Also at the press presentation as guest is Miss Universe Philippines National Director Ariella Arida. She was the top winner at the 50th Bb. Pilipinas pageant, and eventually finished fourth in the 2013 Miss Universe pageant. Reigning queens Myrna Esguerra and Jasmin Bungay shared hosting chores with “Showtime Online U” mainstay and “PGT Exclusives” host Wize Estabillo for the ceremonies, streamed live on Bb. Pilipinas platforms.  

Returning to the Bb. Pilipinas stage this year are 2023 runner-up Katrina Anne Johnson from Davao and 2022 finalist Anne De Mesa from Batangas. Joining them are 2023 Miss Tourism Metropolitan Jeanette Reyes from Batangas City, 2023 Miss Charm first runner-up Annabelle McDonnell from Iligan City, and 2022 Miss Eco Teen International first runner-up Beatriz Abalajon from Aklan. Also in the competition are 2024 Miss Grand Philippines finalist Jenesse Viktoria Mejia from Pangasinan, 2024 Miss World Philippines finalist Andrea Endicio from Quezon Province, and 2023 Miss Chinatown Philippines Jercy Raine Cruz from Makati City. 

Kapamilya actress Dalia Varde Khattab from Las Piñas and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Kathleen Espinido from Siargao are also in the fray. The public will have the chance to see all the candidates in person at the fashion show scheduled on May 28 at the Lagoon of Gateway Mall 2 at the Araneta City, and the Grand Parade of Beauties on June 7. This is the 61st edition of the longest-running national beauty pageant in the Philippines. The 2025 Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at the Araneta City on June 15.
