MANILA, April 24 ------ P-pop girl group BINI topped the Billboard Philippines charts with their hit single "Pantropiko" this week. Based on Billboard's new figures, "Pantropiko" rose from the second spot on its sixth week on the chart. Former chart toppers "we can't be friends (wait for your love)" by Ariana Grande and Babaero by gins&melodies (feat. Hev Abi) took the second and third spots, respectively.
BINI's "Salamin, Salamin" took the No. 4 slot followed by "End of Beginning" by Djo, "Walang Alam" and "Alam Mo Ba Girl", both by Hev Abi. "Magnetic" by ILLIT is at No. 8 followed by "intro (end of the world)" by Ariana Grande and "Makasarili Malambing" by Kristina Dawn (feat. Hev Abi).
Composed of Mikha, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna and Sheena, BINI debuted in 2021 with the single "Born to Win." They are also known for their singles such as "Na, Na, Na," "Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi," "Lagi," among others. Last March, BINI released their extended play "Talaarawan" with viral tracks "Pantropiko" and "Salamin, Salamin" helping them reach 1 million listeners on Spotify.
