MANILA, Philippines, April 15 ------ P-pop sensation BINI continues to break barriers on the global stage after ranking among the most-viewed performers on Coachella’s official Instagram page alongside Justin Bieber and KATSEYE.
The “Nation’s Girl Group” made history on April 11 as the first Filipino act to perform at the US-based international music festival. The eight-member group delivered an electrifying 40-minute set, which included crowd favorites Karera, Salamin, Salamin and Pantropiko, and new and pre-released songs.
The group also turned heads with their striking stage visuals as they appeared in golden outfits paired with traditional salakot before transitioning into seascape-inspired ensembles. They later earned recognition from the fashion news outlet Vogue, which included BINI in its list of best celebrity outfits at this year’s Coachella.
Adding to their growing list of achievements, BINI emerged as a surprise standout as their performance video, uploaded on Coachella’s official Instagram account, amassed at least 22.1 million views as of writing, placing them among the festival’s most-watched acts on the platform. They came after global pop star Justin Bieber, whose nostalgic set featuring his biggest early hits garnered over 85 million views on the same platform. Trailing behind BINI is another girl group, KATSEYE, which performed as a five-member act led by Filipino member Sophia Laforteza.
BINI is set to return for Coachella’s second weekend on April 17. Following their milestone debut, the group also announced their upcoming “Signals” world tour, with the first two stops in Manila and Cebu before heading to international destinations, including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Taiwan.
