September 24 ------ Bini members Colet, Maloi, Mikha, and Jhoanna were visibly emotional after watching the first part of their docuseries "Chapter 1: Born to Win" during its advance screening. The docuseries, which marked the first time the girls saw their story on screen, highlights their trials, challenges, candid moments, and the lead-up to their triumphant three-day “Biniverse” concert.
The premiere was attended by ABS-CBN executives, including ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Head of Digital Jamie Lopez, Head of Music Roxy Liquigan, and News head Francis Toral. “It’s a very emotional moment for us in News because our documentaries have returned. And I was really happy because the girls were behind us and Bini liked it, and the Blooms liked it,” she said.
Jeff Canoy, ABS-CBN Chief of Reporters and co-creator of “Chapter 1: Born to Win”, also shared his thoughts. “This is an origin story. Many know that I’m an OG Bloom; I’ve been following their journey since 2020. It was surreal, almost like an out-of-body experience, to watch the documentary on the big screen. We were emotional too because it marked the return of long-form documentaries at ABS-CBN News. After the pandemic shutdown, we lost that format, so bringing it back with a story about resilience and overcoming adversity, which mirrors Bini’s journey, is really special for ABS-CBN News.”
Canoy also teased the upcoming “Chapter 2: Here for You”, which will explore the girls’ regional tour and their encounters with Blooms across the country. “You have not seen everything yet.
