October 8 ------ Filipino boy group BGYO recently made headlines as they owned the stage for their first-ever major solo concert, BGYO NOW.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the five-member act shared how emotional and unforgettable the concert experience was for them. “I think for us, yung sa soundcheck.
Their leader Gelo admitted that proving their worth after all the highs and lows of their career was even harder than winning people’s hearts the first time. “I think ‘yung i-prove sa kanila na worth it yung love (nila sa amin) during the highs and lows. And ngayon, we deserve to celebrate,” Gelo expressed.
Adding to this, Mikki shared that they also hoped the concert helped clear some of the misconceptions people have about the group. “(They say) Nagli-lip sync daw kami and all that. Masungit mga ganun. Pero, you know, hayaan na lang natin sila. Focus tayo sa positive. Punta kayo sa next concert namin. We are inviting you guys or sa mga next show namin. Tara! Sama kayo sa amin,” he said.
Nate also reflected on what the concert truly meant for them as a group, saying that BGYO NOW wasn’t just a show—it was a statement of who they are today. “BGYO NOW says that BGYO is ready right now for what's to come and ready to conquer bigger things,” he shared.
