June 18 ------ As she ventures into a solo career, Belle Mariano said she has become less afraid of change and failure, and to try new things. Mariano reflected on her personal and professional growth after recently celebrating her 24th birthday. Subsequently, she was also unveiled as the June 2026 cover of Cosmopolitan Philippines, the first celebrity to grace the interactive OOH cover of the magazine.

During a media conference on Tuesday, June 16, the young actress reflected on the milestone and shared that 15 years in the entertainment industry have taught her to embrace uncertainty. “I think now that there’s less fear in me to try new things. And there’s less fear for me to fail,” she said. “Along the years of being in the industry, there are times when we fail. We want this role, but we can’t get it because it’s not meant for us. But I think it’s so empowering just to acknowledge it. That it’s okay, you’ll have your own time to shine,” she added.

Mariano said one recent change that taught her a valuable lesson was the announcement that she and Donny Pangilinan would be taking a break from their love team. “I think the most recent one, when Donny Pangilinan and I announced that this would be our last project for now. But also, it teaches us a sense of trusting the process. You know, and just have faith,” she said.

The actress also admitted that she used to place significant pressure on herself because of her own expectations. “When I was younger, of course, I encountered times that I put so much pressure on myself. The expectations that I have for myself,” she said. “But at the end of the day, I’m a believer of God. And there’s only one person I need to please, and it’s Him,” she added.

Mariano explained that being more self-aware is helping her navigate the challenges of adulthood. “The more that I’m aware of my weaknesses and strengths, thus comes self-confidence. And now, I’m less afraid to venture into what’s meant for me. To explore more and just find my voice,” she expressed.
